This Really Happened: A Review of Real World Ethical Issues 2012

July 25, 2012

On Wednesday, July 25, 2012 Morvillo Abramowitz Partner Edward M. Spiro served as a faculty member of, "This Really Happened: A Review of Real World Ethical Issues 2012," a CLE panel sponsored by the Practicing Law Institute. This interactive program focused on ethical questions drawn from extraordinary and outlandish real world cases. Attendees tested their knowledge of legal ethics by competing against a panel of expert faculty in a “game show” style format. Issues covered included what happens when lawyers use trickery to obtain an advantage in investigating cases, how the courts have treated the lack of civility by lawyers and their clients, what impact technological mishaps can have on the lawyer-client relationship, and the consequences of when well-intentioned judges have a bad day.
