On September 1, 2015, Morvillo Abramowitz partner Elkan Abramowitz was quoted in a Law360 article, “Dewey Defense Says DA Failed To Link Execs To Fraud.” During a hearing on Tuesday, Elkan and two other attorneys for the former Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP leaders urged a New York state judge to throw out the closely watched fraud case, saying prosecutors had failed to show that the defendants conspired to falsify the firm’s business records before it collapsed.
