On Thursday, October 6, 2011 Morvillo Abramowitz Partner Edward M. Spiro chaired “Ethics, Discipline & Real World Obligations,” a panel sponsored by the CLE Committee of the New York City Bar. The panel featured a premier faculty drawn from the judiciary, the disciplinary bar, and law firms that focused on the ethical and potential disciplinary issues confronting attorneys in everyday litigation practice including: fairness in advocacy, negotiation tactics, witness preparation, advocacy before tribunals, candor and disclosure obligations under the new New York Rules of Professional Conduct, risks of multiple representation in litigation, the advocate-witness rule, and inadvertent disclosure of privileged communication and emails.
