Karen King to Argue Before U.S. Supreme Court on March 22nd

March 17, 2022

NEW YORK, March 17, 2022 – Partner Karen R. King will present argument before the Supreme Court of the United States on behalf of the petitioner in Golan v. Saada (20-1034) on March 22nd. The case involves the interpretation of the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of Child Abduction. The question presented is whether, upon determining that return to the country of habitual residence places a child at grave risk, a district court is required to consider ameliorative measures that would facilitate the return of the child despite the grave risk determination. The firm, along with co-counsel Paul, Weiss and Zashin & Rich Co., represents Narkis Golan, a domestic violence survivor and mother of the young child at the center of the case.
